Triumph Bonneville

Finally getting to work on this Triumph Bonneville some more.  Have alot of tabs and holes in the frame that need to be welded up and smoothed out.  Also the peanut tank I bought sits way too low in the tunnel.  The tank was hitting the top of the engine and doesnt flow at all with the bike.  I needed to raise the tank almost two inches... Cut weld smooth repeat... Came out pretty good, but will need a good skim coat of bondo...

If anyone is planning on welding one of these tanks be careful!  Metal is dangerously thin!

78 Yamaha Tracker

Got the seat mocked up and sculpted.  Brought it to Freddy this past weekend to get covered... Should be any day now.

Headlight is sitting a little too high to be able to run a speedometer.  Probably have to removed the mount and shorten it by a half inch or so...

Getting better with my TIG welder.  Welded this bracket up to mount the mufflers to...

Another view of the Custom 2-2 exhaust with megaphone mufflers...

New bearing - Old bearing

Was out riding the bratty xs the other day.  Did a rip down the interstate for about 15 miles... got off an exit and the whole front end started shaking...  Shredded one of my bearings...  If you look inside the race, it is missing 5 or 6 of the ball bearings... they are shredded up in the center of the hub...

This is why you run a cross over tube between bearings...

Xs 650 Cafe/Tracker

Made some more progress on my next project.  Been ordering parts and supplies like a madman, and have had a ton of time to work with all the rain and my broken foot.  This thing might be ready to start up in a week or so...

Tour of 1812

Just got back from a rad weekend of riding up in vermont and upstate New York.  Put in well over 1000 miles of great country roads.  Had a little mishap in Mass coming home.  Broke my foot in two places and bruised the entire left side of my body.  But will heal quickly.  Just have to look into a jockey shift as my shift foot is the one that is borken.
