Got some time in the shop today. Was good but kind of a shame as it was perfect weather for riding outside. Adjusted the speedo bracket I made slightly. Made a shim that ill have to weld to the bracket to lower the speedo slightly. Might have to lower it a little more.
Also started shaving all of the crap off of the frame, and cut out another battery box. Gotta bend and weld that up tomorrow mounting all the electronicals to it.

*sigh*
Well finally took the bike for a ride, and it turns out 4th and 5th gear arent working. Cant even feel them on the shift knob. Doesnt even feel like they are trying to engage. Gotta pull the motor and ship it back to Thomas Racing to see if he can fix it for me.
Got to get in the shop tonight and start tearing through Hanasaurus Rex's bike. Had one leaky seal but over the next week or two we are going to get some parts on it and possibly make a battery box for it.
Some pics of the destruction... and some new exhaust.

Need Sleep...
Well I spent most of the weekend in the shop. Finished the battery box, and painted it. Went out and got most of the hardware and wiring supplies that I needed. Threw the old harness on the bike and hooked it up to make sure everything was working. Cut all of the old harness out and made my own harness matching it. Took longer than I wanted but I hate wiring.
Checked for spark and it was getting it. Threw some gas in it and took it outside and it fired up second kick!! Warmed it up and shut it down. Let it cool as I worked on it more finishing some things up. Then I just took it out for a spin around the block. Felt pretty good. Clutch needs to get broken in some, and the carbs are acting funny. I think my fuel lines are feeding quite right. That and i have to balance the carbs better.
But the thing scoots! Have to take it out again after work tomorrow and work some more bugs out of it...
Here are some more pics.... almost there..

ELECTRONICALS Part 2.
Well I finished drilling some holes in the battery box for the reg/rectifier. And welded a bracket on the front of the batt box to mount the stock ignition switch to.
Finally got the new bars, grips, and air filter in the mail. Should have the tailight tomorrow....
Also got the ignition module wired in, and mounted the coil under the tank. Ignition is wired, just have to solder some wires to the alternator and set up some ground wires and it will be ready to start. Gonna buy some oil tomorrow and shoot for getting it running this weekend.

Well spent quite a while in the shop last night getting the battery box a little farther along. Gotta fit it a few more times and get it mounted. The start the wiring... getting closer and closer.
And here are a few more pics of the seat that i was working on for the past couple weeks. Just another picture of it on the an actual bike.

Riding Season!?
Got the Kawasaki out of the shop today and back in its summer resting place... my busted garage... Feels good to get back out and riding...
The rain in the next few weeks should be a perfect opportunity to get the Yamaha running and on the road so I can finish my plans for the Kawasaki!
