Winter Break

Had a great christmas, and have dedicated the next week straight to be in the shop.  I should have the BMW cafe project this week, and hope to get some finished photos up soon...  

I spent some time cleaning up and finally got a picture of the start of the workbench.... still have tons more to do there...

Also i finally got the Suzuki gs750 for my girlfriend brother in the shop.  Snapped a few before pictures, and have already stripped quite a bit down...

Garage

Been getting more and more time lately to spend on getting my newest garage space set up for how i need it to work... got a wood stove put in... built the car port into a fully enclosed room.  Built a staircase up into the attic, and am starting to build a workbench/wall o tools... 

Quality bender time this past weekend....

Finally got some time to work on a set of new bars for the xs 650 brat...  Ive been meaning to spend some time working with my bender.  Ive done simple bends, but never made a set of bars with multiple compound bends... Pretty happy with how they turned out... need to work on my math and pi skills a little bit.. haha..

Some more work i did to my footpegs and brake pedal.  Also got a different oil filter and relocated it to behind the transmission...

Shovelhead Progress

Got to spend some time going through the right side controls a weekend or two ago.  Still have a little finishing to do ... should be much more comfortable than those forward controls...

Decided to use the brake pedal stopper to mount the footpeg.  Ground out the stopper that was in there... Then machined some round stock to fit that hole... heated it and bent it to taste.  This gave me a solid weld on the front of the plate, as well as the back of the plate to hold the footpeg.  

Datsun Is back

They found the datsun abandoned in the woods... Tow truck driver said it took them 3 hours to dig the truck out from a ravine...

Got to look at it in the dark at the towing company.. front end is pretty damaged, and i didnt try to see if i could get it running...

Stolen In Providence RI

Some fucking degenerate stole my 74 Datsun 620 from Providence, RI last week.  They broke into the car and hot wired it early in the morning last Sunday.  Keep a lookout for the truck wherever you are.

If anyone hears or sees anything please let me know asap.

Some Shovel Love

Been hating my forward controls and pegs that came on the shovelhead since i got it.  Took some time this weekend and made some mid/forward controls.  I ended up locating them a little bit higher than normal, but they are way more comfortable for me than the forwards.  Plus the bike probably lost 5 pounds in brackets and bolts from those forwards... haha
