Got some time to ride around the city a little bit this afternoon.  Snapped a couple photos..

Yamaha XS 650 1-2 Intake Manifolds

Just finished the first of the final intake manifolds.  This one is finished raw, but there will be a painted satin black version as well.  Manifold will fit custom bikes, and is not designed to work with a stock xs650.  The manifold is designed to work with Mikuni 34-36mm VM Roundslide carbs.  Other applications will work as well. 

This manifold is in stock in my store.  More to follow in the next week.

I spent a couple hours adjusting a few things on the bike after some shakedown time.  Wanted to get out before dark, but had to try and take some photos in the conditions...

Made some more progress on my next project.  Been ordering parts and supplies like a madman, and have had a ton of time to work with all the rain and my broken foot.  This thing might be ready to start up in a week or so...

The carb fairy came!

Spent a few nights this week doing maintenance on the Kawasaki to get it as reliable as possible on longer trips.. Trying to go on the Greasebag Jamboree and the Gypsy run and need to get some high mile runs on it...

My old carbs were leaking like crazy, and parts were impossible to find.  Let alone jets for it...

Picked up a set of Mikuni VM34s and some aluminum intake manifolds.  The manifolds are for an xs650 but I slotted the holds a few mm on the mill and they fit perfectly... All I need are some velocity stacks now...   With this, new wheel bearings, sprockets, chain, and some other junk it should be as reliable as it is smooth.
