For Sale: 1976 Kawasaki Kz 750 Twin Bratstyle

Ive had this bike for almost 6 years and it has been reliable from day one.  I replaced the stock carbs with Mikuni VM 34mm Roundslide carbs with manifolds machine to work with the heads.  The carbs are pulled by a Magura throttle assembly.  The throttle is mounted to Woodcraft clip on handlebars.  Has a new aftermarket master cylinder with braided line to a stock brake caliper in the front.

The tires were replaced with Firestone Deluxe Chamions front and rear.  Wheels are painted low gloss black.  Rear shocks are aftermarket and close to stock height.  I cut and welded in a rear hoop to the frame and mounted a custom seat that was done a few years ago.  The seat is worn in, but in great condition.  It is diamond stitched with white stiching on black vinyl.

The paint on the tank and fender was done by removing the paint and letting the metal rust in the elements for a few days.  It was then cleaned and surfaced, and sprayed with clear coat.  After the clear cured it was wet sanded and buffed to a nice finish.

The bike has more custom bits on it, but those are the major ones.

Bike is For Sale:  $4500 OBO

I will have the bike at Rice O Rama this weekend in Spencer, Ma.  I have Bill of Sale and old Registration for paperwork which is all that is required in RI.

KZ 750 Twin Cafe Racer Refresher

Well Im getting this 1976 Kz750 Twin ready to sell.  I am planning on taking it to the Rice O Rama swap meet in Spencer, MA this weekend.  Check it out if your in the area.

I had been meaning to shave the front forks/rebuild/shave the swingarm, and replace/repaint the tank for a long time.  Selling the bike was the final excuse to get all of these done.

I am going to miss this bike.  I bought it to ride while i rebuilt another yamaha xs 650 and I have loved it ever since.  Its been the most reliable bike ive ridden.  Unfortunately i have a ton of other projects that i want to work on, so this thing needs a new owner.

I will post up some final pictures once i re-wrap the exhaust and do a few other final things to it.

Weekend Work

Blasted out some stuff this weekend... Finished up a set of wheel spacers for a buddys Ironhead Chopper.  Got all the last bits of the KZ750 twin 1-2 intake manifolds sorted and they are ready to put in the store.

Wrenched on the shovelhead some more... Did some more timing tuning and carb tuning on it.  Still need to change to a hotter plug and maybe go down a size on the main jet... After that it should be ready to rip all summer... Hopefully it makes it to the winter so i can tear it down proper...

I also got the bmw r60 into the studio and got some great shots of it... Stay tuned for the photo set when its finished...

Week Off

I took the week off this week in order to get some stuff done around the garage.  I finally got my car port boxed in and finished one side...

Just about to jump on the shovelhead and get this seat order in the mail!

Gypsy Run 7

Gypsy Run 7 was this past weekend.  We hit some awesome roads, had some beers, hit some deer and froze our asses off.  Great way to finish the summer.  I never seem to take as many photos as I like, but sometimes its better in my head.  Made it most of the trip with no issues.  I let Chris ride my KZ 750 and it made it about 600 or 700 miles until it barfed out the primary sprocket and stranded him in East Hartford Ct.  Other than that the weekend was as smooth as it could have been..
